Lionspeed GP has revealed its Pro class driver line-up ahead of this weekend’s opening round of GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup at Brands Hatch.
The German outfit will rely on a pair of Porsche contracted drivers for its maiden Pro class appearance, with Bastian Buus and Ricardo Feller set to share its #80 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992.2).
Buus and Feller, alongside Thomas Preining, both compete for Lionspeed in the Endurance Cup, where the team made a strong start at Circuit Paul Ricard earlier this month, running in the top three before a power steering failure forced the #80 Porsche into retirement.
The pair also raced for the team in last season’s Sprint Cup, when they acted as the Pro drivers in its two-car Bronze Cup programme which yielded three class wins and a runner-up finish in the teams’ championship.
This will be Buus’ first time running in the Pro class at a Sprint Cup round, whilst Feller previously raced in Pro in 2023 and 2024, winning the drivers’ title with Tresor Orange1 during the former campaign.
From Round 2 onwards, the #80 Porsche is set to be joined in the Lionspeed stable by the #89 911 GT3 R (992.2) of Alex Fontana and Bashar Mardini, which will compete in the Bronze Cup. Due to capacity restrictions at the British venue, the Bronze class is once again absent from Brands Hatch this year.
The 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup season commences at Brands Hatch on 2nd and 3rd May 2026, with a pair of one-hour races scheduled.
