A 70-car field has been announced this afternoon for the 2026 24 Hours of Spa, with 10 different manufacturers set to compete across five classes in SRO’s blue-riband event.
Having expanded to 75 cars for last year, the race is therefore returning back to its more traditional grid capacity of 70, with 18 of them running in Pro.
The 17-car Pro Endurance Cup entry will be joined by an additional Porsche from Schumacher CLRT, which stepped back from a full-season Endurance Cup programme this year. Porsche factory drivers Matt Campbell, Ayhacan Güven and Laurin Heinrich will drive its #22 911 GT3 R (992.2).
This brings Porsche’s Pro effort up to three cars, with the French squad joining cars from Boutsen VDS and Lionspeed GP.
BMW (2x Team WRT, ROWE Racing) and Mercedes-AMG (Verstappen Racing, GetSpeed, Winward Racing) also have three cars, with Aston Martin (Comtoyou Racing, Walkenhorst Motorsport) and Ferrari (2x AF Corse) having two cars apiece.
Defending winner TGI Team by GRT will field a brand-new Lamborghini Temerario GT3, as will 2025 runner-up Rutronik Racing.
Single cars from Audi (Eastalent Racing), Ford (HRT Ford Racing) and McLaren (Garage 59) complete the stacked Pro roster.
Notably, the defending winning drivers have all been split for 2026. Mirko Bortolotti has remained at TGI Team by GRT, whilst Luca Engstler has switched to Rutronik Racing, and Jordan Pepper has joined WRT.
The Gold Cup has attracted a nine-car entry, made up entirely of GT World Challenge Europe regulars.
McLaren, Porsche, Ferrari, Audi and BMW machinery will compete against the 10th marque in the field, Corvette, and Steller Motorsport’s #24 Z06 GT3.R.
In the Silver Cup, the addition of the #20 Mercedes-AMG for defending International GT Open champion Team Motopark has expanded the field to 16 cars.
Christian Mansell, Levente Revesz, Rui Andrade and Yannick Mettler are set to race for the Austrian outfit.
Elsewhere, Porsche Motorsport Asia-Pacific selected driver Enzo Trulli is set to make his Spa 24 Hours debut with Pure Racing.
The Bronze Cup has expanded to 19 cars, with four additional entries making up for the absence of two cars which had previously committed to the full Endurance Cup.
Johor Motorsports JMR has entered the #0 Corvette for HH Prince Jefri Ibrahim, HH Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim, Ben Green and Mohamad Afiq Yazid.
Era Motorsport will make its GT World Challenge Europe debut with the #81 Porsche, in which Jake Hill and Kyle Tilley have been named, whilst Mühlner Motorsport will contest its 60th 24-hour race with the #123 Porsche.
Vanina Ickx headlines the local outfit’s roster, with the Belgian being joined by Tobias Müller and Paul Meijer.
2 Seas Motorsport has added the #33 Mercedes-AMG to its line-up, for Scott Noble, Lewis Williamson, Jason Hart and Aaron Walker.
Noble and Hart, significantly, had previously been racing aboard GetSpeed’s #67 Mercedes-AMG, which is one of the withdrawals. The #177 Grupo Prom Racing Team AMG, meanwhile, has switched to the Pro-Am class for Spa.
On the driver front, the option to add a fourth driver to a Bronze Cup line-up for Spa means multiple Genesis Hypercar drivers are set to make one-off appearances.
Mathys Jaubert will race Kessel Racing’s #74 Ferrari, whilst Mathieu Jaminet will drive the #91 Herberth Motorsport Porsche.
The grid is completed by the eight-car Pro-Am class, which only competes at Spa.
As previously mentioned, Grupo Prom Racing Team has elected to move over from Bronze, whilst GetSpeed has entered the #999 AMG under the ‘GetSpeed Team PCX’ banner.
Porsche holds the numerical advantage, with a car apiece from Car Collection Motorsport, Tsunami RT and High Class Racing.
Local squads Haas RT and Comtoyou Racing have entered an Audi and Aston Martin respectively, with the field completed by the #70 AF Corse Ferrari, which features Miguel Molina, Matthieu Vaxiviere, Custodio Toledo and Peter Dempsey on its driving strength.
The 2026 24 Hours of Spa will be held on the weekend of 25th to 28th June 2026.
