11 hours into the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans, and Jack Aitken has moved into the race lead aboard the #38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R, after the sister #12 Cadillac changed tyres at its most recent pit stop.
The hour started with Aitken, on fresher tyres, catching his teammate Will Stevens in the leading #12 Cadillac, and halving his deficit before the commencement of a round of pit stops.
Both Aitken and the #8 Toyota of Brendon Hartley only took on fuel, whilst it was a full service stop for the #12 Cadillac as Stevens made way for Louis Delétraz.
Delétraz emerged comfortably behind Aitken, and only just in front of Hartley, with the Toyota driver sailing around the outside into Indianapolis to reclaim second place.
The Swiss driver was initially able to hold onto the tail of Hartley’s Toyota before falling six seconds back, whilst Aitken has gradually pulled away from the pair, and now leads by 27 seconds.
The #20 BMW of Sheldon van der Linde is in fourth, 45 seconds behind Aitken, with the #35 Alpine having cycled up to fourth ahead of the #101 Cadillac, #7 Toyota and #36 Alpine.
In LMP2, the #343 Inter Europol Competition ORECA of Nico Müller has moved into the lead, having successfully undercut the #30 Duqueine Team ORECA at the most recent round of pit stops.
Doriane Pin, who took over the #30 ORECA from Richard Verschoor, emerged immediately behind Müller, but has gradually fallen away from the German and is now at a deficit of 11 seconds.
The #26 Vector Sport ORECA has moved back into the top three, albeit over two minutes off the lead.
The #4 CrowdStrike Racing by APR ORECA is now in a commanding position in LMP2 Pro/Am, with the freshly-installed Laurin Heinrich over a minute ahead of the #14 TDS Racing ORECA of Kevin Estre. Estre, in turn, has a 21-second advantage over the #99 AO by TF ORECA of James Allen.
At the rear of the class, the troubled #3 DKR Engineering ORECA has now passed the LMGT3 leaders. This means, remarkably, the entire 62-car field is back in class order on the timing screens.
And in LMGT3, Akkodis ASP Team has reassumed its 1-2 position from the early hours of the race, with the #78 Lexus of Jack Hawksworth 16 seconds ahead of Jose Maria Lopez’s #87 machine.
The #33 TF Sport Corvette, in which Ben Keating has completed his minimum drive time, is up to third with Nicky Catsburg behind the wheel, whilst the #27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin and #34 Racing Team Turkey by TF Corvette have fallen back to fourth and sixth respectively, having pitted more recently than the Lexus’.
