Mathias Beche and Sam Dejonghe will join Kuba Smiechowski in the #34 Inter Europol Competition Ligier JS P217 LMP2 car for next weekend’s 4 Hours of Spa Francorchamps, the penultimate round of the 2019 European Le Mas Series.
Dejonghe moves over from the team’s #14 LMP3 car: “I’m thrilled to make the step up to LMP2! The car and way of doing things in the top class of ELMS is new to me, so it’s a big challenge with limited track time. But I know Spa very well, know how the championship works and I feel comfortable in our team. The focus is there, and I will do everything I can to adapt quickly and deliver a performance on Sunday. Can’t wait to get behind the wheel!”
Beche meanwhile, is one of the most experienced racers in international endurance with success in LMP1, LMP2 and LMP3 already on his career cv.
He has FIA WEC and ELMS form too with races in LMP2 with High Class Racing, TDS Racing and the Rebellion Racing squad, though this will be his first race in the current Ligier LMP2 chassis.

21-year-old Constantin Schöll steps in to complete the team’s Spa line-up in the #14 Ligier JS P3 LMP3 car
Constantin Schöll: “Since racing karts, I always wanted to race in the ELMS with an LMP3 car. Last year I had the chance to drive one of these great cars in Asia and immediately fell in love with its performance. I am very thankful to have the opportunity to join ELMS with the Inter Europol Competition team and hope I will be able to cope with the expectations of the team and my own. I am very much looking forward to next weekend and hope for some good result.”
