This excellently produced chronicle of the Hollywood actor’s odyssey into sportscar racing has now reached the start of the 2022 ELMS season and blends fly-on-the-wall coverage of the preparation for track action with some stellar in-car action from the European Le Mans Series, coupled with the silky smooth tones of Series commentators Jonny Palmer and some other bloke, then from the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The story progresses to his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the background access is excellent, vividly exposing the stresses and strains associated with a high profile individual’s introduction to the realities of the biggest race in the world.
The build up to the great race features in the later editions posted here and are as good an insight into the real world pressures that this writer has ever seen.
Genuinely highly recommended.
