2024 GT2 European Series Calendar Revealed

Six race meetings, five countries...

he provisional calendar for the 2024 Fanatec GT2 European Series has been released, confirming the championship’s return to Europe’s premier and iconic circuits, including Spa-Francorchamps and Hockenheim, plus a first visit to Barcelona also on the bill.

The fourth season of the Fanatec GT2 European Series promises to be its strongest yet, with each of the six double-header rounds running in support of the prestigious Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS.

Add to that the new Maserati GT2, unveiled at Spa-Francorchamps last week, and the new Mercedes-AMG GT2, joining Audi, KTM, Lamborghini and Porsche in the fight for the championship titles and 2024 has all the makings of a mega season.

As revealed at the annual SRO Motorsport Group press conference during the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, the 2024 Fanatec GT2 season will begin in France at Circuit Paul Ricard in April before heading to Misano, Italy for round two in May.

Next is a welcome return to Spa-Francorchamps for Spa Speed Week – preceding the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa – in June, after a year away from the iconic Belgian circuit (due to the re-shuffle of dates required to accommodate the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix).

Hockenheim, which last featured on the GT2 calendar in 2021, then hosts round four ahead of the summer break. Championship battles will resume in September with a return to the track that hosted this year’s season opener – Monza.

For the 2024 season finale, the series will break new ground in Barcelona, while supporting title-deciding Fanatec GT Sprint Cup round in Spain.
