Forte Racing has completed its driver lineup for the 2024 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona with the addition of Lamborghini Squadra Corse driver, Sandy Mitchell.
Mitchell will drive alongside the full-season pairing of Misha Goikhberg and fellow Lamborghini works driver Loris Spinelli, plus Michelin Endurance Cup driver Devlin DeFrancesco, in the new-look #78 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2.
This will be the 23-year-old Scottish driver’s first appearance at Daytona since 2022 when he debuted for CarBahn with Peregrine Racing. Mitchell is a two-time 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps class winner (2020, 2021) and the 2020 British GT Champion, and joined Lamborghini as a factory driver in 2021.
“I’m super excited to be joining Forte Racing for Daytona,” said Mitchell. “I’ve competed in this amazing race once before, and I’m thrilled to be back on the grid as the atmosphere and on-track action are equally impressive during race weekend.
“I feel we have a great driver lineup, and from keeping an eye on the team’s progress last season, I think our overall package will be very strong. Can’t wait to meet my teammates and crew, and work towards producing a strong result come race day.”

Mitchell joins a Forte Racing team just a few months removed from its maiden IMSA victory, as Goikhberg and Spinelli (along with then-MEC driver Patrick Liddy) survived a mad scramble to take the GTD class win at Petit Le Mans.
In their second season together, Goikhberg and Spinelli will be joined by ex-Andretti Autosport IndyCar driver DeFrancesco for the five Michelin Endurance Cup rounds. DeFrancesco won the LMP2 class at Daytona in 2022 for DragonSpeed, while Goikhberg also boasts a Rolex of his own, in the defunct Prototype Challenge class from 2016.
Forte Racing also revealed a new Andy Blackmore-designed purple, green, and black livery that will be used for the 2024 season, and reflects the ‘split personality’ of day-to-night endurance racing.
“Excited to bring our ‘split personality’ livery to life starting at Daytona,” explains Michael Harvey, Team Manager of Forte Racing. “Seems the perfect event as we navigate the sunny day into the dark night.”
