BMW M4 GT3 EVO Nordschleife Test “Very Positive”

The Bavarian marque's latest challenger continues its development programme ahead of its 2025 race debut

BMW has shed more light on the M4 GT3 EVO’s first test on the Nürburgring Nordschleife last weekend in the build up to NLS4.

The BMW M4 GT3 EVO, which will replace the brand’s current flagship M4 GT3 in 2025, made a successful ‘Green Hell’ debut on Friday with works drivers Jens Klingmann and Augusto Farfus behind the wheel. They completed numerous laps and gathered valuable data.

Klingmann drew a very positive conclusion: “The Nordschleife, due to its unique characteristics, poses particular challenges to a race car.

“We are all the more pleased that we can already provide very positive feedback after our first test with the BMW M4 GT3 EVO. The car’s base was extremely good from the first lap, especially in terms of drivability.

“As a driver, you immediately have full confidence in the BMW M4 GT3 EVO. These are optimal conditions to now move on to fine-tuning and thereby further improve performance. I can hardly wait for the first race appearances in 2025 with the new car.”

UK-based team Century Motorsport became the first customer team to confirm an order for the updated M4 last week. The team announced its plans to compete in British GT and World Challenge Europe full-time with the new car, and take part in the Dubai 24 Hours and Gulf 12 Hours endurance races in the Middle East.

The Dubai 24 Hours, held in January, looks set to be the global race debut for the new GT3 M4. An updated entry list for the race was published last week featuring 78 cars, 33 of which are set to compete in the GT3 ranks.
