Following yesterday’s announcement that Valérie Limoges would join the Sports Car Championship Canada in an FEL Motorsports-backed Hyundai Veloster Turbo TCA run by MD Autosport, today FEL has announced that Megan Leahy will return to the series in a second MD Autosport Hyundai TCA car.
Leahy drove for MD Autosport in the FEL-sponsored Hyundai at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres and the Labour Day Sprints at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park last season. This year she’ll run all five rounds and ten races in the 2025 season as she fights for the TCA class championship.
“Professional motorsports continue to suffer from a lack of female representation, with barriers including limited access to resources and mentorship, and the perpetuation of stereotypes and biases for competitors and fans. With this in mind, FEL Motorsports is proud to provide Megan with the opportunity to race and further progress her career in Canada and beyond,” the company said in its press release issued today.
Limoges and Leahy’s participation is made possible through a new driver diversity programme developed by FEL Motorsports, in partnership with Michelin and other key industry partners.
Leahy co-founded Slate Racing, the first female-owned Canadian racing team, in 2023 alongside Erika Hoffmann and current IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge driver Megan Tomlinson. She will also continue to race in the CASC Miata Canada Cup in 2025, the series in which she made her organised racing debut three years ago.
