Ferrari Challenge Europe & North America Champions Crowned At Mugello

Hirsiger wins the 2025 Trofeo Pirelli Europe title in must-win situation

The final champions of the 2025 Ferrari Challenge season have been crowned at Mugello Circuit, Italy, ahead of Sunday’s Finali Mondiali.

In Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe, Ineco -Reparto Corse RAM’s Felix Hirsiger overhauled title rival Jasin Ferati to clinch the championship in his rookie season. The Swiss driver scored his ninth victory of the year in the season finale, whilst Ferati finished just shy of the podium after starting from the back of the grid.

Trofeo Pirelli Am honours went to Hendrik Viol of Scuderia Praha Racing, although it was Andrew Morrow who swept both races at Mugello to take momentum into Sunday’s Finali Mondiali.

Ineco-Reparto Corse RAM also triumphed in Ferrari Challenge Coppa Shell Europe, with Manuel Gostner sealing a popular championship victory with a race to spare. Coppa Shell Am was won by Sven Schömer of Penske Sportwagen Hamburg.

And in Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli North America, Massimo Perrina clinched the title for Ferrari of Seattle after his eighth win of the campaign in a wet Race 1. Outgoing champion Dylan Medler reaffirmed his status as a contender for the Finali Mondiali, however, by winning the final race of the year.

“Getting to finish the championship in Mugello is something very special, especially in the fashion that we just did it out on track,” Perrina commented after Race 1. “It’s really special to be able to call myself North American champion, and I’m looking forward to the Finali Mondiali on Sunday to try to prove myself to everyone else in the world.”

In Trofeo Pirelli Am, Brad Fauvre won the title, whilst Coppa Shell North America honours went to Mitchell Green. Green was pushed all-season by Yahn Bernier, who won both races at Mugello, but a second in Race 2 was enough for Green to emerge on top.

The Coppa Shell North America Am championship was won by Ferrari of Alberta’s Michael Owens.

Tomorrow, the European and North American runners will share the track for the Finali Mondiali. Coppa Shell Am, Coppa Shell and Trofeo Pirelli will each have their own race, in a single contest, winner-takes-all format.

Radicci Automobili’s Vincenzo Scarpetta and Hirsiger will share the front row of the grid in Trofeo Pirelli, following qualifying earlier today. Rey Acosta stormed to Coppa Shell pole position, with Kessel Racing’s Jan Sandmann besting Schömer in Coppa Shell Am.

The Finali Mondiali can be viewed on Ferrari’s YouTube channel, with racing action beginning at 09:00 CET.
