The Ginetta G56 GT2 will make its endurance racing debut in January, with Team CMR entering both the 6H Abu Dhabi and 24H Dubai in the GTX category.
The French outfit previously gave the car its racing debut at October’s GT2 European Series season finale at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where Lawrence and Freddie Tomlinson finished on the podium in both races.
The Tomlinsons, alongside Ginetta Motorsport CEO Mike Simpson, will drive the car in the United Arab Emirates.
This trio, alongside Nico Prost, raced a G56 GT4 Evo for Team CMR in this year’s 24H Dubai. The quartet scored pole position in the GT4 category, and led at the halfway mark, before retiring.
Its endurance debut will mark the next step for the development of the G56 GT2, which is set to rollout to customers ahead of the 2026 GT2 European Series, which begins at Monza the end of May.
Ginetta has a strong pedigree at the 24H Dubai, with its most recent success coming in 2024, when it won both the GTX and TCX classes.
Both the 6H Abu Dhabi and 24H Dubai form part of Creventic’s 24H Series Middle East Trophy, which begins with the 12H Sepang on 5th to 6th December 2025.
