Rodin Motorsport has announced an unexpected entry into the British GT next year, making its debut in the SRO-run championship with a Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo.
The well-known junior single-seater team is a familiar name in the British GT paddock due to its involvement in the GB3 championship, which is part of the support package for the series, but this move marks its first foray into GT competition.

Elsewhere, they run several other key programmes, including F1 Academy and the FIA Formula 2 and Formula 3 championships.
Before Rodin took full control in late 2023, the operation was known as Carlin, which had achieved notable success, winning more than 30 motorsport championships since its founding in 1999. In the sportscar world, Carlin also briefly had a presence in LMP2, campaigning a Dallara in the ELMS and Asian Le Mans Series.
“We’re pleased to be adding a British GT programme to our activities for 2026,” said Rodin Motorsport’s sporting director, Benn Huntingford.
“It’s a well-established championship with strong competition, and we’ll approach it with the same professionalism we bring to all of our racing operations.”
Rodin Cars founder, David Dicker, added, “At Rodin, we are always looking for new opportunities.
“GT3 is one of the strongest racing categories in the world, and we are very happy to join it, especially with a Ferrari.”
The team is expected to confirm its driver line-up at a later date, as it prepares for the season ahead.
The 296 GT3 had its first formal British GT campaign in the 2025 season with Spirit of Race, and the newer 296 GT3 Evo which Rodin will operate aims to address some of the key challenges related to its competitiveness.
Whilst Rodin is a newcomer to British GT, Dicker formerly acquired the only Sintura S99, a GT1 racer which competed in the championship during the late ‘90s, as well as a spare chassis and moulds.

In 2024, he presented the reimagined Rodin Sintura, powered by a new Judd V10 engine, alongside the original ex-British GT icon before entering it in that year’s World Time Attack Challenge.
Rodin will commence its 2026 British GT debut campaign with media day testing on March 31 at Silverstone before returning to the venue for the season opener on April 25-26, which will be a three-hour endurance race.
