Ginetta Joins SRO GT4 Manufacturer Ranking

UK constructor becomes the ninth competitor in SRO's worldwide GT4 manufacturers' championship

Ginetta has become the latest manufacturer to sign up to SRO’s worldwide GT4 Manufacturer Ranking.

The British marque will compete against Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ford, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche and Toyota this season, as they battle it out in 107 races across ten different series. Since the GT4 Manufacturer Ranking was first introduced in 2024, BMW has won both series titles.

Points are earned based on each manufacturer’s performance in the GT4 European Series, ADAC GT4 Germany, British GT, FFSA GT, GT4 America, GT America, Japan Cup, SRO GT Cup (China), and GT4 Australia, as well as the new-for-2026 GT4 Italy Series.

Ginetta was an early adopter of the GT4 regulations, with its G50 GT4 winning every round of the 2008 British GT Championship, and also winning the 2009 GT4 European Cup. Last year, its current GT4 contender, the G56 GT4, won multiple races in FFSA GT, and was also a podium finisher in series including the GT4 European Series and British GT.

The arrival of Ginetta into the GT4 Manufacturer Ranking fold is the latest development in an evolving relationship between the brand and SRO Motorsports Group. From this season, SRO will operate Ginetta’s one-make series, whilst Ginetta is set to take on its first full season as part of SRO’s GT2 category, and is also part of the SRO GT Academy.

SRO GT Cup’s opening round, a two-race event at Shanghai International Circuit supporting the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix on 13–15 March, will be the first event counted towards this year’s GT4 Manufacturer Ranking.
