Walkenhorst Motorsport was a race winning outfit in their BMW Z4GT3 and the family-run outfit is stepping up in 2016 with a switch to the new M6 GT3, a pair of cars joining the Z4 (and a pair of Cup1 M235i Racing) in the VLN Endurance Championship.
The M6 GT3s will feature Christian Krognes, Michele di Martino, Victor Bouveng and Matias Henkola on the driving squads with Tom Blomqvist joining the effort up to and including the Nurburgring 24 Hours and Jorg Muller joining the team after the N24.
The BMW Z4 GT3 sees team boss Henry Walkenhorst and Peter Posavac aboard.
The team will race with Dunlop tyres again in 2016 and one of the M6 GT3s attended this week’s Dunlop test at Motorland Aragon.
