DSC Snappers Survive Silverstone Half Marathon
We reported last week that DSC’s David Lord and Peter ‘Pedro’ May were taking part in Sunday’s Silverstone Half Marathon in aid of charity.
Lordy ran in aid of the Alzheimers Society. You can still sponsor his efforts HERE – he put in a creditable time for a man of his advanced years – 1.57.29
Pedro meanwhile was making his formal distance racing debut, though he will always run very fast and for a long time if you tell him its his round!
He ran in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association. His Just Giving page is HERE – His time was a creditable 2.10.12 – All the more impressive as he ran the entire 13 miles in his jeans!!
Between the pair they have already raised well over £1000 for their chosen charities.
Most impressive of all though, aside from the fact that there were 7000 participants! was our friend and colleague Jakob Ebrey – 1:29.19 for the arch-snapper – a target for both of our brave soldiers if (and when) they compete again!
