Starworks Motorsport will not compete in the IMSA season finale at Road Atlanta next month, after one of its drivers, Parker Chase, signed with AIM Vasser Sullivan to race as part of its Lexus GTD programme.
This marks the end of the team’s truncated 2019 campaign, during which it skipped four races due to “multiple challenges” and Balance of Performance concerns. The team’s Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo last appeared at Road America.
“Without a doubt, this has been a challenging season, and sometimes it’s better to regroup and focus on the future,” said team owner Peter Baron. “Multiple things outside our control set us up for failure since day one. I’m very proud of how we operated and wouldn’t change a thing we did as a team.”

“What we can do moving forward is change what we have control over and prepare ourselves for a better year ahead,” he continued.
“We’ve been working on our 2020 plans for some time, and look forward to getting the final players and pieces in place. We are happy for Parker to get this opportunity with another program and wish him the best.”
At Petit Le Mans, Parker Chase will race in AIM Vasser Sullivan’s #14 Lexus RCF GT3 alongside Jack Hawksworth and Richard Heistand.
