BMW, Corvette Present New Liveries For Sebring

BMW M Team RLL and Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports will each come to Sebring with new and special liveries that were revealed today.

Celebrating 50 years of BMW North America, the 50th-anniversary livery was inspired by a timeline of the manufacturer’s accomplishments in American motorsport, beginning at the 1975 12 Hours of Sebring – when Brian Redman, Hans Joachim-Stuck, Sam Posey, and Allan Moffat won the race in their BMW 3.0 CSL, just a week after BMW of North America was established.

BMW went on to win the 1999 Sebring 12 Hours with the V12 LMR, the 2001 American Le Mans Series GT title with the M3 GTR (E46), back-to-back Sebring 12H class wins in 2011-12 with the M3 GT2 (E90) – and most recently, in 2023, Paul Miller Racing took the M4 GT3 to the GTD class win.

On the Corvette side, their throwback livery takes inspiration from the 1987 Mobil 1 Protofab Racing Corvette GTO, built by the Protofab company including Gary Pratt – who went on to establish Pratt & Miller in 1989.

The original Protofab Corvette GTO was later restored by Dan Binks and returned to vintage racing competition at the 2023 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, driven by fellow Corvette Racing legend Ron Fellows.

Corvette Racing/Pratt Miller Motorsports has 12 wins at Sebring, the most recent of which came in 2022.
