The 2027 dates for the Bathurst 12 Hour have been revealed, along with details of a key format change for the Australian endurance race.
Next year the event will take place from the 11th to the 14th of February, with the track action spread across four days instead of three.
This means the event retains its new slot in mid-February, following a highly successful 2026 running which saw the biggest grid of cars for six years and a record attendance of over 55,000 fans across three days.
According to the organisers, the expansion to four days will open opportunities for more on-track activity, including paid testing for Bathurst 12 Hour competitors and a more immersive experience for fans and competitors alike – including a bigger and better Track to Town parade for the City of Bathurst and visitors alike to enjoy.
In conjunction with the date announcement, Meguiar’s has confirmed it has extended its naming rights partnership for the event through 2027, continuing its long‑term support of the event, which also doubles as the opening round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge.
“The mid‑February timing received positive feedback across all aspects of the event, from competitors and manufacturers through to partners, broadcasters and the local community, reflecting the strength of the event and its potential to grow further on and off the track.” said Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour event director Shane Rudzis.
“We had clear feedback across the board to maintain a similar window for 2027. Balancing international calendars, freight and manufacturer commitments is never simple however we’re confident these dates strike the right balance and a commitment to a world-class experience for our competitors, fans and partners at Mount Panorama,” added Bathurst Mayor, Cr. Robert Taylor.
