ELMS Notebook: Roussel To Inter Europol, RealTeam LMP3 Colours

2017 Champ to new Ligier effort for ELMS and Le Mans

Roussel for Inter Europol for ELMS and Le Mans

Léo Roussel will join Kuba Smiechowski in Inter Europol Competition’s new Ligier JS P217 Gibson LMP2 in the 2019 European Le Mans Series and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Roussel took the ELMS title in 2017 with G-Drive racing (DragonSpeed) alongside Memo Rojas and raced at Le Mans last year as part of the Ginetta LMP1 effort.

Léo Roussel: “I’m very happy to join the team and come back to ELMS after eight months without driving. I had a warm welcome at Barcelona from all of the team and I would like to say thanks to Kuba (Smiechowski) and the whole team for the opportunity they give me. I’m very hungry to start this new adventure.”

Sascha Fassbender (team manager): “We are pleased to have Léo with us this year. It’s a pleasure to work with such a professional and generous driver. And his knowledge of the 24 Hours of Le Mans will make a big difference in our understanding of this race. A warm welcome to him.”

The team will announce a third driver in due course.
