21-Car Grid For 2026 DTM

The DTM has confirmed a 21-car field for the 2026 season, which features 11 teams and eight different manufacturers.

Compared to last year, the grid has decreased by three cars. This is due to Manthey and Emil Frey Racing no longer running third entries, whilst Paul Motorsport has exited the championship.

With reigning drivers’ champion Ayhancan Güven not returning, Manthey will focus its efforts around 2023 champion Thomas Preining and Ricardo Feller this year. A further Porsche 911 GT3 R (992.2) comes from the only single-car entry, Land-Motorsport, which will run rookie Bastian Buus.

The DTM will feature more Lamborghini Temerario GT3s than any other series this year, with four of the Italian brand’s brand-new challenger entered. Luca Engstler and Marco Mapelli will race for Red Bull Team ABT, whilst Mirko Bortolotti and Maximilian Paul compete at TGI Team by GRT.

Matching Lamborghini at four cars is Mercedes-AMG, which will field an unchanged line-up for 2026. Lucas Auer and Tom Kalender will race for Team Landgraf, whilst Maro Engel and Jules Gounon return to Winward Racing.

Nicki Thiim has made the switch to Aston Martin and Comtoyou Racing, where he will compete alongside Nicolas Baert, whilst HRT Ford Racing lines up with the new Mustang GT3 Evo and the pairing of Arjun Maini and rookie Finn Wiebelhaus.

Kelvin van der Linde is making his DTM return this year, with the South African joining two-time champion Marco Wittmann at BMW squad Schubert Motorsport. The field is completed by Emil Frey Racing’s pair of Ferrari 296 GT3 Evos for Thierry Vermeulen and rookie Matteo Cairoli, and Dörr Motorsport’s McLaren GT3 Evos of Timo Glock and Ben Dörr.

“The quality in the field is immense, and the fact that we have drivers from eleven countries underlines the high degree of international relevance of the series,” said ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss.

“We are looking forward to watching three former champions, stars like Timo Glock, the return of Kelvin van der Linde, high-quality newcomers, and the exciting debut of Road to DTM winner Finn Wiebelhaus, who has made the step up to the DTM.”

The 2026 DTM season begins at the Red Bull Ring, Austria on 24th to 26th April 2026.
